History
Joseph Sieber first ran the format in autumn 2021 at the Royal Northern College of Music with friends, and has developed it ever since. The goal: the most accessible version of a socially and musically valuable play-along orchestra, with a uniquely diverse range of orchestral musicians of all ages.
Since 2024 the Repertoire Orchestra has been running in the major German-speaking Swiss cities of Zurich, Bern, Basel and Lucerne — with further offshoots, including abroad, in planning. Over 200 musicians between 14 and 84 from across Switzerland have already played.
